I'm not sure what this means.

But it might make wizards really good.

I'm not a huge fan of the increased repair costs. Especially when all decent gear on the AH is extremely overpriced right now... and unless you're getting crazy lucky drops or farming for gold, money doesn't come that easily.

I've read posts about people who farm 400k in an hour. But that sounds so stupid and boring. Running around with gold find gear breaking pots, or doing the same 5 minute checkpoint over and over again.

I'd prefer they address how easy it is for farmers to make gold since I think exploits (like the black soulstone gold/xp that they've already nerfed) or crazy gold find spots have made people with no lives super rich. I think there are enough of those people, and they are a huge part of the reason the majority of the items on the AH are inflated. I personally don't mind spending time on the AH listing and selling items, but someone who doesn't want to put in the time for that has to just get super lucky if they want to progress. And that's kinda lame.

Not to mention bots. Currency AH is gonna be WHACK SON.

I'm sure people will ALWAYS find a way to farm gold efficiently. But it'll be nice if the number of people who are willing to do it drops off a bit, cause right now it seems super easy, but super stupid.

Also I feel like this addresses exactly what Alex has been talking about the past few days.

We're also looking to adjust the damage and health of enemies in Inferno Acts II, III, and IV. This is another change that is primarily for melee with secondary benefits for ranged. A lot of ranged are building glass cannon with the mentality "well, I'll just try not to get hit at all." So, reducing incoming damage when they weren't taking any before isn't significant for them, whereas reducing incoming damage for the melee is a big deal. For the ranged classes, I'm hoping that the incoming damage reduction will make some survival stats more appealing to ranged classes. While before the damage was so large it just felt pointless to try and mitigate any of it at all, after the change hopefully ranged classes will think "well, if I just put on a modest amount of survivability, I don't get 1-shot, so that's worth it." There are some ranged players who are already doing this -- stacking survivability so they don’t have to endlessly kite -- and it just feels like the minimum amount of survivability to avoid the 1-shot is so large it's unattainable.

They're adjusting how much static bosses (SK/Butcher) drop with that buff on you now...it's no longer multiple guaranteed rares. I think they're trying to make it much more efficient to run through an act than just recreate games nonstop to kill the butcher.

F'ed in the A.
Also, it's too bad they're normalizing things a bit. I really wanted to check out original Inferno.

Original Inferno... sounds a little bit like 3 weeks ago breh!

In all honesty yes this will make the game too easy to a point.

Always sucks when the hardcore bros are so super hardcore and then whine because it's too hard and end up nerfing it for the rest of us. Hopefully they don't nerf it too much. Remember the stranglethorn vale quest with the cave full of apes?

Yup this is what happened.

Nope, not sure what you're implying.

Just a reference to one of the many things to be needlessly nerfed in WoW.

So basically the hardcore bros man up and beat a hard level in diablo, then the stupid idiots get to 60 and think that inferno should be as easy as hell was?

Why do you care, isn't this better for you? Because they made it more casual friendly?

At least I won't get insta killed by point blank mortar spam, un dodgeable attacks, and bees shitting smaller bees into my face.

We'll have to wait and see, a lot of these changes just sound like they're making it slightly easier for melee and way easier for ranged. Not really closing the gap at all.
All I'm saying is I hope it's true. I'd like to experience this difficulty people are talking about. Blizzard themselves said in that post Rogue made a while back they wanted it to take people months to beat Inferno and in about a week there were already posts on the Diablo forums talking about Inferno being too hard.

Blizzard also mentioned in one of their posts that like over half of all people were what they considered undergeared for Inferno.

Honestly, I've been a fan of blizzard's nerf/buff and design philosophy since Cata.

Besides, this seems more like they're fixing broken aspects of the game. (aka you shouldn't make a game that millions play and only 5% get to see all of)

Looks gr8, like Tony the Tiger.

By the time you're level 60 you've seen everything in Diablo. You've replayed it three times already, so it's not exactly the same as, for example, the different difficulty WoW dungeons which wasn't a bad idea.

There are tons of problems that are due solely to gear, but even with gear there's still some outrageous shit that will randomly 1-shot you. The game, from the melee perspective, feels like everything is geared at being anti melee. Even the abilities like mortar that all ranged characters hate ends up being anti melee because the mob will either keep hitting you in melee with it or his buddies will stand back and blast you with it. I really don't get the impression that being 'undergeared' is an issue for a ranged class. Ranged characters can always play better to avoid it, for melee it isn't the case.

But what you haven't seen is the terror of your teammates as they are slain in one hit by a little pretty pink flower.

Yeah... their team is pretty short-sighted that's all I'll say, but luckily they're trying to make the steps to fix it.
