Cliffe works for them but AFAIK he had no real involvement in L4D, Turtle Rock handled its development.

This becomes confusing because Turtle Rock handled a lot of Counter-Strike ports for Valve, but had no hand in its original creation

True, Turtle Rock is actually the team that made Condition Zero. I thought some of the members were the original creators.
