http://www.wowwiki.com/Bastion_of_Twilight

We will be doing Bastion of Twilight. Its considered to be the Naxx of Cataclysm, so I expect to have it cleared by the first or second week of January. I will be creating the guild event in the in game calendar.

I highly recommend the following if you want to come to the raid:

0. Research your class and come with the best spec possible. No, you aren't pioneer in WoW there is already specs that do a lot more damage than others, the 9 other people in the group don't have any interest in watching you pioneer talent trees in World of Warcraft.

1. ilevel 333 at least in every slot, with gems, enchants and reforging to maximize your dps. I can make the blue quality intellect gems gem, I believe past may have the blue quality stamina gem. I also have the spirit + crit healing meta gem.

2. health potions for melee dpsers and hunters, mana potions for all casters 20 at least. Chops is an alchemist bring him the mats and he can make them for you if he is online (at least I think he has them learned)

3. Level 80, if not 85 flasks. Sip also can make many glyphs, and he's generally a nice person so he MIGHT help you if his vagina happens to not be periodically bleeding.

4. A good attitude. If you don't like losing at an encounter multiple times and being patient with people who its taking a bit longer to get- don't come. If you're having people over and are going afk every 5 minutes, hang out with your real life friends don't waste 9 other people's time. I don't care if you smoke or have to tend to someone who is annoying you multiple times.

5. Research the fight, we're not explaining every encounter multiple times. The wiki above is a brief overview- obviously when put in to practice it'll be different. Don't come completely uninformed.

6. We will be doing DKP for these encounters. Tanks will get set pieces above other classes for the sake of progression. Yes they will still pay dkp for them, yes we haven't settled on a pricing and gains system. So, if you're super concerned about your dkp and what the system is. Don't come.

3) A solid number of level 80 flasks in the guild bank, take as many as you want. Some 85 flasks in the GB.
Can make:

http://www.wowhead.com/item=58088
http://www.wowhead.com/item=58086
http://www.wowhead.com/item=58087
http://www.wowhead.com/item=67438 (note: I have a billion HeartblossomRefresh This Item).

Other mats, I'll need at least most of. I burned through stockpile finishing off 525.

On average, each 85 flask costs about 300g in mats. I'll do my best to farm mats to stock up to save some cash, but I can almost guarantee I'll be running low on eternal life.

6) I'll get the DKP system initialized.

I have enough cash, I'll stop selling the life and start Gbanking it.

What other mats do you REALLY need?

Heartblossom is the only thing I have a shitton of. I probably have 2 stacks of Cinderbloom. Otherwise, I have at most one stack of each of the other mats (Whiptail, Azshara's Veil, Stormvine, Twilight Jasmine). By next week, I should have a decent stockpile again, but at the moment, I'm running pretty dry.

As I get the mats, I'll start dropping flasks into the bank.

Also, elixirs are much cheaper and generally give interesting bonuses like improved hit rating, haste, mastery, etc. Also an improved armor by 900, though armor = tank, so probably better for heroics and the like, since tanks will more likely want to use an hp flask. I've put a handful of them in the bank already, so feel free. For some, it might be more worthwhile to use 10 elixirs in an hour and wipe than to use 1 flask.

Oh, one last thing, there are a handful of burst potions: increased spell power (1200), strength (1200), agility (1200), armor (4800), each lasting something like 25 secs.

Finally, for potions, if you're a fisher, albino cavefish become rejuv-like potions, restoring 1-15k hp and mana.

Reforging: Since this is a raid casters will require... 17% hit? Until that point 1 hit > 1 int but I'm not sure how 300 int weighs against the 45 hit elixirs. But you're absolutely right they're cheaper

P.S. I'm coming in my 20/10/11 spec!

Edit: are cauldrons of battle efficient? I notice they only take 4 flasks but 8x something that I don't even recognize

--
I'll have to look into the cauldron thing, though I don't know if I can make them yet.

As for elixirs I can make:

http://www.wowhead.com/items=0.2.1?filter=minrl=80

225 hit > 45 hit

The 45 hit ones can be burned on trash, and use the big boys on the bosses. That, of course, is assuming we're not struggling, in which case, up your deeps with the good stuff.

DEAR GOD. Also I'm new with the level 80 elixirs. I still dunno if 225 hit > 300 int.

I'm sure I'll get to doing some analysis of that nature just like I did for vanilla.

Can't raid Wednesdays. Can only raid after 7:00pm CST at the earliest on Thursday.

I vote for Mon/Tues.

Watch this video turds, we will have to see what drakes we get...but hopefully it won't be bad. I've talked to a lot of my friends that have downed this boss and they say he is super easy as long as everyone pays attention and you don't get fucked on drakes.
